The fire danger season will begin at a more traditional time in many SA regions this year, as a mild conditions negate the need to bring dates forward.

However, fire danger season will officially kick off in several regions - Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, North East Pastoral, North West Pastoral and the West Coast - on Sunday, November 1.
November 15 will mark the beginning of fire danger season in the majority of other districts - Lower EP, the Mid North, Murraylands, Riverland, Upper South East and Yorke Peninsula. The Lower SE will start on December 1.
The Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide Metropolitan and Kangaroo Island dates are yet to be confirmed.

Country Fire Service chief officer Mark Jones said recent rain meant many districts would begin restrictions on their traditional starting dates.
"A milder start to the season than in previous years means we will see the commencement of the fire danger season for many areas at a time that residents were traditionally more used to," Mr Jones said.
"With no need for the starts to be brought in early, as in previous years, there should be no surprises for residents in these districts who have been preparing their properties."
The start of fire danger season means restrictions in districts become legally enforceable.
"Now is the perfect time to prepare for the oncoming season and update your Bushfire Survival Plan," Mr Jones said.

- Eastern Eyre Peninsula: 1 November 2020 until 15 April 2021
- Flinders: 1 November 2020 until 15 April 2021
- Lower Eyre Peninsula: 15 November 2020 until 15 April 2021
- Lower South East: 1 December until 30 April 2021
- Mid North: 15 November 2020 until 30 April 2021
- Murraylands: 15 November 2020 until 15 April 2021
- North East Pastoral: 1 November 2020 until 31 March 2021
- North West Pastoral: 1 November 2020 until 31 March 2021
- Riverland: 15 November 2020 until 15 April 2021
- Upper South East: 15 November 2020 until 15 April 2021
- West Coast: 1 November 2020 until 15 April 2021
- Yorke Peninsula: 15 November 2020 until 30 April 2021.
