In the wrap up, 25 of 45 bulls sold to $16,000 and an average of $7640.
First time buyer Bob Simson, Oxley, Vic, won the bid on the hotly contested Lot 4, Belmore Qantas S24(P), paying $16,000 through Nutrien Euroa, Vic, and making the top money for the day.
Weighing 854 kilograms - the heaviest lot in the sale - the 22-month-old son of Royalla M046 is a homozygous polled, dark red roan bull from a first calver, with high marbling at 4.8 per cent and an eye muscle area of 109 square centimetres.
Running a 200 head commercial Shorthorn cow operation near Euroa, and specifically targeting the JBS Thousand Guineas Shorthorn beef market, Mr Simson was impressed with the entire draft and said Qantas S24's good birthweight figures had tipped the scales in its direction.
GM Butler & Sons snaffled Lot 16, Belmore Tsar S48, at $14,000 through Elders Naracoorte. The red 22-month-old son of Royalla Tsar M027 weighed 768kg, recording an EMA of 108cm2.
Dalwoodman Pastoral was the volume buyer, with six bulls to $11,000, averaging $7500, through Elders Mildura, Vic.
Five bulls are heading north to their new home in pastoral country with repeat buyers the Greenfield family, Billa Kalina Station, paying to $12,000 and an average of $6200, through Nutrien Port Augusta.
Sam Seimer, Coally Pastoral Co, Milparinka, NSW, paid to $8000 and an average of $7000 for four bulls via Elders Broken Hill, NSW.

Nutrien auctioneer Gordon Wood said the top end had sold well with people travelling a fair way to source good genetics, with buyers from throughout SA, NSW and even Tas, showing the versatility.
Belmore Shorthorns principal Andy Withers said the clearance rate was a "bit of a disappointment" but they had had an exceptionally good lineup of bulls this year and the buyers would be happy with their bulls.
Joint selling agents were Elders and Nutrien.
