The interactive workshops will start next month, with GPSA to be supported by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.
In the training sessions there will be practical demonstrations for producers on their truck maintenance obligations, advice and feedback on the National Class One Agricultural Vehicle and Combination Mass and Dimension Exemption Notice, and training on the the NHVR Portal.
Within the training there will also be a focus on different dimensions, mass, and conditions of access for eligible agricultural vehicles and how producers can apply for permits to move ineligible oversize and overmass machinery on public roads.
The NHVR representatives who deliver the portal training will be able to answer producers questions about safe travel on key freight routes.
GPSA regional field officer Shane Gale said the workshops would include information from the "Roadworthy Heavy Vehicles...Made Easy!" And "Moving Ag Machinery Made Easy!" campaigns.
"From the producer survey we ran last year, we know there's some confusion around when and how to access roads to move machinery which falls outside of the ag notice," he said.
"Moving Ag Machinery is an important project because of the significant benefit agriculture brings to the South Australian economy and to regional communities, but there's a safety and compliance issue that needs to be addressed."
People who attended a Roadworthy Heavy Vehicles workshop learned how to assess their current safety management systems and increase their record keeping capacity, Mr Gale said.

Mr Gale says the workshops will be educational and engaging, with the "Roadworthy Heavy Vehicles" campaign having given participants the opportunity to gain practical tips on maintenance checks through a free heavy vehicle inspection with a local mechanic.
"The Eyre Peninsula workshops, to be held at Cleve, Wudinna and Cummins, will be worthwhile and an engaging day out for all primary producers to help them ensure they're keeping themselves and other road users safe," he said.
Workshop attendees are asked to register.
