The two top price lots at $9500 and $9250 were both by Firemen 111F, which LBPL principal James Darling, Keith, said he liked for its "low birthweight, high growth rates, and very good carcase merit".
"We just had steers in Teys recently and Firemen had the second top carcase, just under 64 in the MSA index," he said.
"We had one go 65.7, but that was a Duck Island composite."
The top two Firemen bulls were bought by first-time client Viv Oldfield, Alice Springs, who bought 11 bulls in total, averaging $6590.
Lot 3 - autumn herd bull Duck Island 22UWF - made the sale top price of $9500.
The February 2022-drop 852-kilogram bull was a Firemen son, out of heifer Duck Island UWF, with a scrotal size of 38 square centimetres, eye muscle area of 124 millimetres, rib fat depth of 3mm, rump fat of 4mm and intramuscular fat of 3.9 per cent.

While lot 20 - spring herd bull Duck Island 22VJZ - made the sale's second highest price bull of $9250.
This July 2022-drop Firemen son was also out of a heifer, Duck Island VJZ, weighed 740kg and had a scrotal size of 40sqcm, 111EMA, rib fat of 3mm, rump fat of 5mm and 3.4IMF.
"He carries an immaculate top line, beautiful mobility and balance," the description said.
"His data expresses what you can see. VJZ is a quality animal who, at 1.31 kg/day on grass, will keep on growing and be a major asset for future production."
Through AuctionsPlus from Monday to Wednesday, LBPL - formerly Duck Island Partners - sold 24 bulls from 29 bulls offered to a top of $9500, averaging $6208.
Both figures were an increase on their inaugural online sale last year, which resulted in 14 of 32 bulls sold, to $8500, averaging $5875.
A happy Mr Darling sold three bulls after the main sale from $4000-$4750.
Other volume buyers included Warrnambool Ag, Grassmere, Vic, with three to $8500, averaging $6417; repeat buyer Mark Scobie, Orlunda Downs Props, Meningie, with two bulls at $7500 and $6000; and Merrett Livestock, Millicent, with two at $7250 and $4000.
The sale was conducted by PPHS.
