A pair of Red Rock rams were the most sought after lots offered at the Agfair Broken Hill Dorper and White Dorper ram sale held on Friday.
Held by Nutrien on day one of the event, 17 of 22 rams from four studs sold to a top of $3000 twice for the Red Rock White Dorpers, averaging $1235.
All six Australis, Dawsley Valley, rams sold at $800 to the sale's volume buyer Greg Church, Bushley Station, Ivanhoe, NSW.
Mr Church also bought a Red Rock White Dorper at $1400.
Five of Red Rock's six rams sold to $3000 twice, averaging $1920, with the sale toppers header to Dell Dorpers, through Nutrien Echuca.
Red Rock principal Bradley Edson said it was a reasonable result given the variable seasonal conditions throughout the region.
"It was reasonably tight due to the season, but I think the rams that were here sold well enough," he said.
"We sell rams in this area and also at the Mt Gipps Dorper sale."
Three of six Mount Wedge Dorpers sold at $800 apiece, while three of four Saltbush White Dorpers sold at $1400 apiece.
Each stud donated the sale average to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, with Nutrien doing the same.
The sale was conducted by Nutrien Broken Hill, with Troy Hartman the auctioneer.
