It was always going to be hard to top the romantic proposal between Matthew Causer and his fiance Chelsea Harrop with Matt getting down on bended knee after the 2023 SA Junior Heifer Expo.

But less than a year later the couple say their big day surrounded by family and friends was just as perfect.
They chose another place of significance for the wedding venue - Talunga Park - the Mount Pleasant Showgrounds, having shown cattle there for years as their love grew.
The couple, who have been dating for seven years, say the event was true to their relaxed, carefree personalities and fell into place, although Chelsea arrived fashionably late with her Dad driving them to the ceremony in his VT Commodore.
"It had been siting in the shed for about four years but after we got engaged he started tinkering around to get it going," Chelsea said.
Matthew made the wooden altar where they exchanged their vows and Boots, their beloved Jack Russell terrier, was the ring bearer.

Another special touch was their new matching Akubras from Hide & Horn Australia - Chelsea's having a horse, cow and hoofprints burnt into hers while Matthew opted for tractors and ag machinery.
After the ceremony, the bridal party in a convoy of utes travelled to the Causers' Sanderston property where the reception was held.
"We thought why not have it at home where we have everything? Even though we have been there for a while, some of our friends still hadn't been to our place," Matthew said.
The couple's family helped decorate the area with flowers, horse shoes and even a rustic wagon wheel.

Naturally Chelsea - who works at Kongolia Farms piggery - and Matt, who manages Granite Ridge Angus stud's Murray Bridge property, wanted some of their wedding photos to be with their cattle but it wasn't to be as the young ones had only recently been halter trained and were not keen on the 70 guests.
Instead they got some great images with Chelsea's Paint horse and their utes, including smoke pluming from the bonnet where a radiator had overheated.

For their first weekend as husband and wife, the newlyweds went camping at Overland Corner but have plans later in the year for a longer honeymoon.
"I always wanted to get married within 12 months of the proposal so I could go to the Heifer Expo as a Causer but it didn't work out with work - it turns out last year was my best year," she said.
"After I have competed in the national Young Judges at Melbourne Show, we hope we can do some more exploring and camping seeing a bit more of Australia."
